JAMIE WILLIAMS (VIC) – VICE-PRESIDENT

My first exposure to Eurovision was living on campus at university in 1999 when I walked into the room of two friends and hearing Israel singing ‘Happy Birthday’. I watched for a bit and was intrigued about this whacky song contest. I never thought about it again until I happened to catch it on tv in 2004. And from there my love grew!

I have so many favourite Eurovision songs but I have to admit my knowledge is fairly limited to post 2000. My favourite thing about Eurovision is inviting my friends over for early morning live viewing parties with flowing bottles of bubbles.

I’ve been a member of our brilliant fan club since 2016, joining just prior to heading over to Sweden to see Dami do so well. Being a part of this club has been a lot of fun and I’ve met so many wonderful people. Living in Melbourne, I’d love to get to know many of our fabulous Victorian members at social events, so come and say hi if you see me!
